Clarity is the term used to describe the presence or absence of flaws or blemishes in a diamond. It is possible to find some imperfections in almost every diamond. Minute inclusions, seen only with difficulty under 10-power magnification, reduce the cost of a diamond but neither mar its beauty nor endanger its durability. If a diamond is without external or internal flaw or blemish under 10-power magnification, it is termed FLAWLESS.
